Quality of Products
We strive to describe all products and services accurately. Descriptions may be updated when necessary.
We only offer products we have tested and approved in-store, sourced directly from manufacturers or authorised UK importers. All items are genuine UK products and competitively priced.
Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude fitting or painting services.
A minimum 12-month warranty applies to all products, with extended guarantees available on many items.
We aim to provide a simple and user-friendly online shopping experience. If you have suggestions for improvement, please contact us.

Purchasing Products
We take reasonable steps to keep your order and payment details secure. However, we cannot be held liable for unauthorised access beyond our control.
How the Contract Is Formed
- You place an order by selecting Confirm Order at checkout.
- You receive an order acknowledgement email (not confirmation).
- When your order is dispatched, you receive a dispatch confirmation email.
- The contract is formed at the point of dispatch.
An order may not be accepted if:
- The item is out of stock
- Payment cannot be authorised
- A pricing or description error is identified
- Eligibility requirements are not met
Our liability is limited to refunding any payments received.
Contracts are completed in English, and order details are not stored by The Car Shop—contact us if you need order information.
Pricing
All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
Delivery, insurance, and packaging costs are added at checkout.
Online prices apply only to website orders and may differ from in-store pricing. We are not obliged to match prices between online and in-store transactions.
All offers are subject to availability and cannot be combined.
Payment
We accept most major UK credit and debit cards, along with PayPal.
Payment is taken at the time the order is placed.
Card validation and authorisation are required. If payment is not authorised, we accept no responsibility for delays or non-delivery.
Payments are processed securely through Klipboard Money using industry-leading encryption and fraud-prevention systems.

Refunds & Returns
We offer a 30-day returns policy for items that are unused, undamaged, and in original packaging (return postage at your expense).
Custom-made items (e.g., number plates, aerosol paint) are non-returnable unless faulty.
If an item arrives damaged or develops a fault within 90 days, we will replace it at no cost. After 90 days, we may arrange a repair.

WEEE & Battery Recycling
JW Motor Factors t/a The Car Shop Carrickfergus complies fully with UK WEEE and Battery Regulations. Old electrical items can be returned to your local recycling centre or to The Car Shop within 28 days of receiving your new product (return costs apply). Battery recycling facilities are available in all stores.
Safety
We recommend seeking professional advice when fitting any product that may affect the design, performance, safety, or legality of your vehicle. Some items are for off-road use only.
Interpretation
Vehicle manufacturer names and logos are used only to indicate product compatibility. They do not imply OEM approval.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
